We are seeking a Sustainability Project Officer to join our Strategy and Engagement Division.

- Base salary of $81,809 plus Superannuation
**The Opportunity**
As the Sustainability Project Officer you will assist in implementing the Residential Enduse Insights Program (REUP). The REUP will deploy digital water meters to collect and analysis detailed data on customer behaviour and water consumption to enable a better understanding of customer demand to optimise water conservation programs.
**What you'll do**:
- With the support and guidance of the Water Conservation Coordinator engage service providers to deliver critical aspects of the overall program including participant recruitment, water efficient technology surveys and data analytics.
- Liaise within internal business units to ensure that appropriate constraints and opportunities are considered in the engagement of service providers.
- Support the reporting and investigation of water conservation initiatives being implemented by Hunter Water.
- Assist the broader division as required such as reporting and investigation of water conservation initiatives including in the water quality, water security, science, wastewater, stormwater and sustainability teams.
**What you'll need to be successful**:
**Essential Criteria**:
- Relevant qualifications such as engineering, science or equivalent analytical capability
- Demonstrated project management experience including reporting on progress and budget
- Demonstrated communication and reporting writing skills
- Experience managing and analyzing large data sets
- Aptitude for consultant management including procurement, budget and performance management
**Desirable Criteria**:
- Awareness of end-use water demand forecast models
- Experience with data management associated with digital water meters
- Experience managing community engagement and/or participation activities
- Awareness of the preparation and implementation of water conservation programs targeting both the residential and non-residential sectors
- Understanding of water and wastewater distribution and treatment.
- Interest in sustainable community outcomes.
