We are looking for a Payments Operation Manager to establish and maintain payment vendor relationships while managing data reporting and analytics to drive payment strategy. This role will focus on helping our payments business scale with ease and confidence. You will be required to work with cross-divisional stakeholders: spanning technology, data, consumer and finance to deliver tactical payment direction and long-term strategic plan.

**What’s the role?**
- Day to day general transaction performance monitoring, leveraging reporting dashboards, gateway reporting, incident alerts from tech teams.
- Responding to and working with business, vendor and technical teams on payment failure spikes and reducing the risk.
- Maintain business engagement and relationships with payment gateway vendors, primarily Paypal, Stripe and invoice payment methods.
- Interface into Finance on Reporting, Payment Assurance, Accounts Receivable and Reconciliation matters.
- Understanding internal and external payment related trends, customer behaviours, financial institution impacts.
- Test payment structure: Drive future payment enhancements, opportunities and delivery.
- Own payment issues from beginning to end, working with internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a systematic and timely fashion.
- Identify opportunities and advocate for product improvements and/or tools that support the team's needs and/or the needs of the customer.
- Covers by Subscription and Legacy invoice payments and payment methods.
- Focus on supporting Cyber in PCI related matters and ensuring PCI compliance.
- Accountable to manage and meet set metrics and performance targets.
- Responsible for clear, timely and direct payment performance feedback back to the business.

**Who you are**
- Business analysis, financial, banking and/or payment related roles and experience essential.
- General understanding and knowledge of the Australian banking and payment landscape, including an understanding of New Payments Platform (NPP).
- Experience working with external technology partners and vendors.
- Strong analytical, organisational and project management skills.
- Experience working with payment solutions providers preferred.
- Experience managing customer and vendor relationships.
- Experience with technology process improvement and delivery.
- Data and delivery oriented.
- Ongoing management of operational and delivery complexities.
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment with varying priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams including senior level individuals.
- Consumer experience.
- Role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.
