**What will be your role?**

We are seeking a highly experienced and enthusiastic Precision Mechanical Technician on a Full-time basis. The role is mainly involved production of high-quality components and products, responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of tools, dies, and machinery used in manufacturing processes. You will be joining a tight knit highly skilled team who value workmanship, and a well-established Polyethylene Pipe manufacturer.

**Key task and responsibilities**:

- Assist with design, development and drawing plant and equipment in coordination with the engineers
- Creating precise technical drawings and models using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Using both manual and automated methods, operating and maintaining a variety of machining tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC (Computer
- Numerical Control) machines to create and shape metal components and parts in accordance with specifications.
- Install plant and equipment including the assembling components, tool & equipment selection, testing controls and loggers and hydraulic systems
- Inspect and quality check installation and operation of plant and equipment, includes data logger analysis, calibration, and standards & specification compliance
- Assist with overseeing team inspections of plant and equipment.
- Contribute to planning, scheduling and completion of maintenance tasks
- Participating in Safety, Quality and Continuous Improvement activities to enhance workplace

**To be considered you must meet the following criteria**:

- Mechanical Trade Certificate or alike
- Understanding of Safety systems and processes including Risk Assessments, incident reporting and planned inspections
- Have proven experience in Cad, AutoCad, Rivet or similar drawing programs
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment desirable
- Flexible, punctual & motivated
- High Risk Work License: Forklift (EWP & Confined Spaces desirable)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour
