Farm Machinery Technician

**What will be your role?**

We are seeking a highly experienced and enthusiastic **Farm Machinery Technician** on a Fulltime basis. The role is mainly troubleshooting, servicing, maintenance and electrical repairs of hire equipment or project activities to minimise Waste and loss of Productivity, whilst upholding company standards of Safety and Quality.

This is an incredibly rewarding role with loads of variety, both in terms of the functions you’ll perform and the equipment you’ll work with.

**Key task and responsibilities**:

- Provide breakdown services, fault finding and preventive and routine maintenance services on the company’s equipment
- Technical support to both Equipment Hire/Sales Department
- Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
- Recording any alterations and changes to the equipment and operating procedures on the maintenance log.
- Maintaining the safety and integrity of all serviced equipment’s in accordance with safety policy

**To be considered you must meet the following criteria**:

- Australian Recognised Trade Qualification (Mechanical Fitter or similar)
- Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components
- Understanding of Safety systems and processes including Risk Assessments, incident reporting and planned inspections
- Experience working with vehicle’s electrical system (battery, starter motor, alternator, fuse box, wiring and connectors)
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment desirable
- Flexible, punctual & motivated
- High Risk Work License: Forklift (EWP & Confined Spaces desirable)

**Salary**: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
