IMMEDIATE START: Disability Support Worker at Carelinked - MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK SHIFTS EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS- Regular ongoing hours YOU MUST CURRENTLY BE LOCATED IN TOOWOOMBA OR SURROUNDS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.

As a Disability Support Worker at Carelinked, your day-to-day tasks involve providing crucial assistance to individuals with complex needs.

This role varies, as no one disability is the same. Your responsibilities may include:

- Facilitating shopping trips
- Administering medications
- Assisting with personal care
- Supporting participants during appointments
- Facilitating communication within care networks
- Reporting incidents and health/safety risks
- Managing challenging behaviours
- Helping maintains a clean-living environment
- Assisting with cooking
- Possibly caring for animals
- Key Responsibilities:

- Provide support that ensures the physical, emotional, psychological, and social well-being of our clients.
- Be sensitive and understanding of the specific needs of each client, paying attention to their cultural needs and preferences.
- Maintain individual daily notes for client activities, overall support required within their home and community, and their general well-being.
- Be willing to work shift work, regular sleepovers, weekends, and public/school holidays with significant availability.
- Possess clear communication skills.
- Write accurate and detailed shift reports, including progress notes and incident reports.
- Engage clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
- Have a strong sense of accountability and confidentiality.
- Own a smartphone with internet access.
- Have the right to work in Australia.
- Be fluent in English.
- Work independently and maintain professional boundaries in line with the code of conduct.
- Value flexibility and have the opportunity to work flexible hours according to your life and schedule.
- What you will need:

- Blue Card
- NDIS Screening (Yellow Card)
- First aid and CPR
- Reliable car with full comprehensive car insurance and a driver's license.
- Be available to work and fill in afternoon, evenings and weekends to fill gaps within our rostering system.
- NDIS workers orientation module

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $27.01 - $48.83 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 38 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Public holidays
- Shift work

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
