Position Summary

Operations Trainee will assist in a range of tasks in a transport and warehouse environment. Tasks may include fleet planning and allocation, maintenance schedule of fleet, data entry, spot checks to ensure compliance, customer service and warehouse (picking and packing).

During your employment, the company may decide to help you obtain your forklift licence and HR truck licence.

This is a fulltime opportunity for an individual wanting to enter the transport and logistics industry. Future positions can include Fleet Allocator or Operations Supervisor.

Activities and responsibilities

Perform a range of tasks to assist the Operations Manager and/or the Managing Director:

- Data entry of consignments
- Planning and Allocation
- Planning of fleet maintenance
- Warehousing
- Creating load sheets for the warehouse
- Unloading / Loading freight
- Maintaining the cleanliness, organisation, and safety of all workspaces.
- Effectively communicating with team members
- Working in accordance with company policies and relevant legislation
- Accurate recording of paperwork

Remuneration will use the modern award as a basis and will be discussed with the successful applicant.
