We develop simpler, safer and smarter technologies for water disinfection.
- **Position purpose**_
Management of Key company projects to align with company goals. Liase with all internal & external project stakeholders. Design and develop improvements for new and current products while using 3D (CAD) modelling.
- **Main tasks**_
Core objectives include:
- Work with Production Manager to coordinate R&D and product development efforts
- Analyse and negotiate price costs for prototypes and production
- Monitor and analyse design/production/technical design direction
- Liaise with manufacturers and vendors to organize supply and prototyping
- Maintain and produce BOMs (Bill of Materials) for products
- Ideation of new product direction (concept, development, refinement)
- Produce and present product concept direction for new products and redevelopment of existing products
- Identify and marry aesthetic choices, technical requirements, and manufacturing requirements
- Lead & Co-ordinate Engineering & Drafts teams
- Develop internal Manufacturing’s Drawing Management System
- Design and develop product packaging solutions
- Design and develop exhibition design solutions for tradeshows
- Design and develop floor plans as required
- Project Design of Graphic Design & Marketing activities.
- Design and organise manufacture of tools and jigs for production floor; organise maintenance of tools and jigs
- Request, receive and evaluate quotations and pricing
- Development of Company Digital Communication Structure
- Development of Company Digital File Storage & Procedures
- Prepare price/spec comparison spreadsheets for the parts to be used in production
- Assist Purchasing department with researching suppliers, negotiating prices, placing purchase orders, etc
- Oversee tasks related to meeting Project deadlines
- Use of JIM2 management software to create Purchase Orders and update product information; research and learn Jim2 software in order to provide system usage optimisation suggestions
- Support with ad hoc tasks related to Production
- Liaise with floor staff regarding design practically in order to gain feedback for productivity and ascertain design optimisation needs
- Work with floor staff on new or re-developed assembly procedures; assemble products to test the design before launching production
- Create detailed instructions on how to assemble AIS components for suppliers of pre-assembled goods, as well as for staff
- Participate in the R & D activities of the company for new product development and existing product optimisation
- Maintain comprehensive progress documentation on all R & D project activities
- Participate in marketing meetings of the company, as required, assist with the marketing material content preparation, including design
- Maintain and monitor high quality standards of work
- Keep a log book of daily activities, including tasks, their start and finish times and their status (completed/pending, etc); the log book must be available for immediate presentation to the management upon request
- Take responsibility for own work and stay proactively engaged in the role
- Assist with on-the-job training of other employees
- Adhere to safe working practices at all times in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety procedures
- Maintain a tidy working area at all times
- Actively participate in work rotation experience offered by the company in order to obtain and maintain new skills
- Proactively engage in Teamwork
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Support innovative culture of the company and provide improvement ideas to the management where applicable
- Maintaining ISO documentation as appropriate

- **Other Duties**_
- Contributing and assisting with the completion of audits and documents for the annual ISO 9001 Quality Management System recertification.
- Fulfil other duties as requested by the management from time to time
- Coordinate allocated non-product development projects
- Continuously working on improving typing speed/skills using the dedicated Typesy software
