**The Role**
AGSVA is undertaking organisational transformation to be able to meet the current and future security and demand of Defence and Government within a complex security environment. To support organisational transformation, AGSVA is seeking a highly motivated APS 6 Governance Officer to join the Business Assurance team within the AGSVA Capability & Coordination directorate. Within the team, you will require the ability to operate and produce high quality outcomes in a fast paced environment with competing priorities. The duties of the role include:

- Operate with a level of autonomy for leading and managing work initiatives, priorities, tasks and actions;
- Coordinate, monitor, and report on the delivery of a program of works including the ISO9001 Quality Management System audits and certification - the standards of AGSVA’s quality management system;
- Managing assurance initiatives on the effectiveness of controls in key risk areas through the delivery of an ongoing program of internal audits and reviews;
- Managing AGSVA’s framework of policies and procedures;
- supporting executives to manage enterprise-level and operational level business risks through the identification, analysis and reporting of the effectiveness of controls to the key organisational risks;
- High-level stakeholder engagement through the management of the Secretariat function for the AGSVA Governance Board, Stakeholder Engagement Forum, and Management Review meeting;
- Coordination of AGSVA’s contribution to enterprise business, executive, secretarial, ministerial and parliamentary reporting and correspondence.
- Provide team support in other functions of the directorate.

**About our Team**
AGSVA is the central agency for the processing and granting of security clearances for the majority of Australian Government agencies and state and territory agencies. The Directorate of AGSVA Capability and Coordination performs functions across the AGSVA enterprise such as business capabilities - business planning, business improvement and business assurance; committee secretariat; and workforce capabilities - strategy, service delivery of AGSVA skilling programs, workforce modelling and planning.
