**About the Role**

As an APS 6 Assessment Officer, you'll play a crucial role in reviewing and evaluating complex development proposals to ensure they meet Australia's environmental standards. Your expertise will inform key decisions that shape our nation's future.

**Your Responsibilities**
- **Evaluate Proposals**: Review complex development proposals, researching environmental impacts in line with legislative obligations, policies, and procedures.
- **Policy Application**: Develop a thorough understanding of Commonwealth and State legislation and policy frameworks to guide assessments.
- **Inform Decision-Making**: Prepare high-quality briefings for supervisors and decision-makers, providing clear advice on environmental impacts and regulatory decisions.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**: Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders through written correspondence and face-to-face activities.
- **Administrative Excellence**: Handle data entry, correspondence, and ad hoc tasks with precision, contributing to seamless operations.
- **Drive Improvement**: Support quality assurance initiatives and business process improvements to enhance team performance.
