The Goulburn Valley is often referred to as 'The Food Bowl of Australia' as around 25% of the total value of Victoria's agricultural production is generated in this area.

Greater Shepparton has a population of approximately 65,000, and an expenditure budget in excess of $118 million. The population is culturally diverse with 9.9% of residents being born overseas. The area has excellent education, recreation, cultural, social and health facilities and tourism is a developing focus for the region.

**Horticulture Service Officer**

**Hourly Rate**: $32.77 per hour (plus 25% casual loading)

Greater Shepparton City Council currently have Casual positions available within the Parks, Sport and Recreation team.

The successful applicants will be responsible for the safe and competent operation and maintenance of all plant, machinery and tools used to perform parks duties while demonstrating a strong commitment to Occupational health and Safety.

Previous horticulture, agriculture or native vegetation experience or qualifications would be an advantage and a current MR truck licence is required.
