Brisbane, Australia Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water Full time

You will have the opportunity to engage in work that assists in developing the state's manufacturing industry with duties such as:

- Provide timely, expert and authoritative advice on complex and emerging manufacturing policy issues including the decarbonisation of the manufacturing industry and supporting communities affected by the closure of coal fired power stations and associated mines.
- Conduct and coordinate substantial research, analysis and interpretation of information to support the delivery of programs and projects relating to manufacturing industry development.
- Collaborate on the delivery of manufacturing programs across the department and in other agencies, especially the Department of Environment and Science and the Department of Energy and Public Works to support manufacturing procurement.
- Develop, manage and oversee projects, including consultation with stakeholders and collaborators, to deliver manufacturing policy outcomes that are consistent with the overall policy direction of the Queensland Government.
- Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of complex reports, briefing notes, presentations, speeches, publications and correspondence for Cabinet, state committees, industry/stakeholder groups, the Minister and senior departmental management.
- Develop and maintain constructive working relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders. Work collaboratively and negotiate with colleagues and with other levels of government, industry and non-government organisations to deliver on Government commitments.
- Represent the Department on internal/external meetings and committees and inter-departmental and inter-jurisdictional working groups.
- Being part of a small, enthusiastic team within a larger group that values contributions from team members.
