The Opportunity
CPP are currently seeking a part time Environmental Advisor for a 12-month opportunity for our landmark Golden Plains Wind Farm project. Based 60km northwest of Geelong, Golden Plains is the largest wind farm in the Southern Hemisphere and will power more than 750,000 homes.
**Key responsibilities of the role include**:
- Conduct regular site inspection to ensure Environmental obligations are maintained
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure planned works comply with environmental management plan
- Report to the SQE Manager and communicate with the broader team to advise of any issues that could be destructive to the environment
- Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with the requirements of the relevant specifications, codes and standards, which form part of the contract and environmental legal obligations
**Skills and Experiences**:
About You
**To be successful in this role, you will possess**:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering
- Previous experience in renewable energy or utilities is favourable however not essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Great knowledge of environmental legislation.
- Understanding of core environmental principles and regulations
