A great opportunity has arisen to set and establish operations for a home lending division that is fully funded and will be launched next year. You will be there from ground zero and establish banking practices and procedures and setup operating systems from scratch.

You will build lead and grow a team from scratch and establish working operations for a national provider of home loans to be launched in the new year.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Hire Mentor, develop and empower Team Leaders to build and grow a team in the mortgage industry
- Setup policies and procedures from scratch and ensure all service level targets and established
- Start-up phase: map the full customer lifecycle and develop policies and procedures to support operations and undertake full user acceptance testing pre go live.
- Start-up phase: take direct responsibility for full customer processing until support team establishment.
- Manages and direct the daily activities of the operations team as the Customer Finance product(s) grow.
- Oversee all home financing functions, which may include broker network training, customer funding, processing and closing.
- Monitor the productivity and budgetary performance of the operations.
- Ensures efficient delivery of products and service to customers, seeking innovative and simple digital solutions that delight.
- Attend governance meetings
- Review and identify any operational risk
- Oversee quality processes and look at ways to improve and streamline procedures
- Work on ad hoc projects as required

**SKILLS**:

- Strong leadership experience
- Strong Operations background in mortgages
- Background in financial services, ideally mortgages, call centres
- Project and process management experience
- Risk management skills
- Effective communication & relationship building skills
