**The Division**

The Greater Sydney Division integrates transport modes including trains, metro and buses; critical infrastructure and services to support Sydney’s growing metropolitan population, projected to swell to over 12 million within the next 40 years.

**The Opportunity**

the Greater Sydney Investment and Portfolio team are currently recruiting for a permanent full-time Portfolio Leader. The team is responsible for developing the Greater Sydney project development pipeline through provision of an efficient and effective interface between asset strategy, planning, development and delivery functions.

Supporting the management of Greater Sydney's portfolio across the investment lifecycle (initiation to benefits realisation), the role actively engages across the business in order to undertake investment prioritisation based on existing methodologies. The prioritisation methodologies enable Greater Sydney to identify and promote the right investments at the right time to realise transport’s future customer and community outcomes.

Expected to successfully collaborate with a number of internal and external stakeholders to understand the strategic and economic landscape of the organisation, support the process of identifying transport asset and service requirements and have awareness of the current constraints to investment. An understanding of the transport industry and project, program, portfolio management principles is highly desired.

Portfolio management and investment prioritisation is a critical function within Greater Sydney. As such, this role undertakes both business-as-usual portfolio management functions as well as driving continuous improvement.

The role may also be required to support other functions within Investment and Portfolio team such as asset management, benefits realisation, funding submissions and program management.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Support the establishment and maintenance of an effective and collaborative interface across asset strategy, planning, development, and delivery for the Sydney portfolio.
- Support the portfolio management function within Greater Sydney by continuing business as-usual activities and driving new initiatives for improvement.
- Operate and report on the results of the prioritisation process to develop Greater Sydney’s investment pipeline.
- Coordinate technical, financial and strategic information from stakeholders and translate into a meaningful portfolio narrative for Greater Sydney.
- Understand the processes that link strategic vision to the development of plans, business cases and project initiation.
- Prepare presentations and present to Greater Sydney stakeholders on the investment pipeline, seeking feedback on the process and agreement on future priorities.
- Establish strong working relationships with stakeholders to ensure that outcomes are articulated, understood and achieved and make a substantial contribution to the wider business.

- Coordinating a large volume of portfolio data from a broad group of stakeholders and providing oversight on the quality and consistency of information
