**About the role**

We are looking for FT/PT Housekeeping Supervisor for our Abode Hotel in Malua Bay.

Reporting to the Hotel Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for the overall presentation of the property (guest rooms and public areas) through effective and efficient operations of the Housekeeping Department. You will be required to attend and participate in daily briefings, meetings and training sessions as scheduled and to use specialized equipment in the course of your work including vacuum cleaners, trolley’s, multi-line telephone systems and general cleaning equipment such as mops, buckets, cleaning chemicals including bleaching agents.

**We are looking for**:

- Demonstrate a passion for your role and industry through your engagement and initiatives.
- Customer-centric, passionate and consistent, with excellent attention to the detail in maintaining brand standards.
- A flexible work and rostering schedule.
- A positive and can-do attitude amongst the team with a dynamic, and professional personality.
- The ability to retain team members and build a strong team environment and motivate them to bring out their best.
- Certificate III/IV in Hospitality - Housekeeping Management is desirable.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Oversee the daily operations of the department, reporting directly to the Housekeeping Manager.
- Demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines in a highly pressured and rapidly changing environment.
- Strong understanding of rostering, productivity and budgeting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
- Strong understanding of WHS compliance.
- Time management and efficient work habits.
- You must also meet the legal requirements to work in Australia.

**Skills Required**:

- Dynamic, vibrant, confident and professional personality
- Ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are serviced and cleaned daily to the Abode standards
- Ensure that housekeeping pantries and corridors maintain a high standard of presentation
- Ensure an adequate supply of clean linen in a good state of repair.
- Ensure that rooms are checked regularly for repairs and refurbishing and liaise with Hotel Manager and notify them of areas in need of attention pertaining to décor.
- Ensure that timesheets are completed daily and in accordance with Statutory regulations
- Ensure that adequate supplies of cleaning materials are available
- A current full Australian drivers’ licence is also highly desirable but not essential
- The flexibility to work various shifts on a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- You must also meet the legal requirements to work in this country
