Freycinet Lodge is an eco-lodge that sits within the world famous Freycinet National Park – a stone's throw from the renowned Wineglass Bay on the picturesque East Coast of Tasmania. The Lodge consists of 70 rooms and a main lodge, thoughtfully constructed around a beautiful waterfront below The Hazards mountain range. Located approximately 2.5 hours from Hobart or Launceston, Freycinet Lodge neighbours the popular holiday town of Coles Bay.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Freycinet Lodge in this casual role A full-time position would be considered for the right candidate.

What you'll do:

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, you'll coach and mentor our dedicated team to prepare our guests rooms to a level which will help us to create an exceptional experience during their stay with us. You'll balance working hands-on alongside your team with admin tasks such as ordering and stocktake.

This is a physically demanding role so you must be energetic and physically fit, with a resilient and positive can-do attitude to meet the demands of this role.

What you'll bring:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills​
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and work effectively within a team​
  • Proven time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines​
  • Demonstrated passion to deliver an exceptional guest experience​
  • Minimum two years' experience in housekeeping within the tourism/hospitality industry​
  • A vibrant attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
  • Excellent time management and an eye for detail
  • Flexible attitude to work hours over a 7 day roster, including weekends and public holidays
