**Vertical Transportation & Electrical Systems Facilities Supervisor**
- Employment Type: Full time (35 hours per week)

- Remuneration: Level 8 $112,154 - $126,366 (depending on experience) + 17% super + leave loading

The Vertical Transportation & Electrical Systems Facilities Supervisor provides holistic management of transportation media and low voltage electrical building services and infrastructure for the University’s built assets, including large, complex, and diverse and include a significant number of technical installations, research laboratories and integrated building services. The Vertical Transportation & Electrical Systems Facilities Supervisor provides high level specialist technical advice to the Senior Manager, Building Maintenance particularly on matters regarding contracts and contractors service delivery and performance.

The Vertical Transportation & Electrical Systems Facilities Supervisor reports to the Senior Manager, Building Maintenance and has no direct reports.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage the quality and effectiveness of Facilities Management external service delivery contracts in accordance with established Service Level Agreements, and manage tender evaluation and procurement processes in accordance with University policy and procedures.
- Contribute to the development of an annual facilities management performance and improvement plan with short to medium term priorities for vertical transportation and low voltage electrical building services and infrastructure.
- Prioritise, manage, and coordinate Building Teams services planned and preventative maintenance, repairs and improvement projects, and the commissioning and testing of building services with University stakeholders.
- Provide oversight and auditing of contract service providers maintenance staff for risk assessment, SWMS and WHS, ensuring compliance with all statutory and legislative requirements including the relevant Building Codes.
- Deliver an effective end to end process regarding contract service providers maintenance services and repair activity, inclusive of financial reporting, successful delivery and monitoring of services, infrastructure compliance and statutory work, health and safety for the contract service providers.

**Skills and Experience**
- Appropriate building services trade or equivalent facilities management qualifications with extensive experience in vertical transportation, building maintenance and FM service delivery, planning, budgeting and financial management.
- Demonstrated experience in contract and contractor management, service contract procurement including developing and maintaining professional working relationships.
- Extensive operational and facilities management experience with vertical transportation and low voltage electrical building services and infrastructure in a large and complex property portfolio.
- Experience in building services project management, financial management, budget setting, work prioritisation and performance tracking.
- Highly developed leadership qualities, interpersonal, organisational and communication skills with excellent track record in providing excellent customer service. This includes a strong understanding of FM as a value-added service, including the ability to work in a collaborative effort to create opportunities and develop solutions.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills with a proven capacity to exercise initiative and develop solutions.
- Working Knowledge of relevant building standards, such as NSW Codes of Practice, AS1735, AS3000, Australian Standards, WHS 2019, NCC, EN81 - 8, EN13015 etc.
- An unrestricted electrical licence and previous experience in the Tertiary Education Sector, Major Hospital, health system or public infrastructure sectors is desirable.
