Located on the picturesque waterfront at Darling Point, The Navy Bear is easily accessible, with multiple transport options just a short walk away, including major bus routes, and a 15-minute walk from Edgecliff Station or Darling Point Ferry Wharf.

We’re currently seeking an **enthusiastic and motivated Team Leader** to join our dynamic team. **This full-time role** is based at the Royal Australian Sailing Naval Association (RANSA) and offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth.

**About You**: We’re looking for a friendly, energetic, and developing professional to help lead our small yet vibrant team. If you’re passionate about excellent service and looking to further your career in hospitality, we’d love to hear from you.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve coffee, along with other hot and cold beverages as needed.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to café patrons and club members.
- Step into the role of Second-in-Charge when Venue Manager is on rostered days off, leading by example and ensuring exceptional service while continually improving operational standards.
- Communicate effectively with staff and kitchen teams to streamline operations and improve service.
- Address customer feedback and resolve complaints promptly and professionally
- Assist the Venue Manager with recruitment, staff trials, inductions, and training.
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members, reporting back to Venue Manager
- Complete daily shift reports and ensure clear communication and accountability across the team.
- Assist in managing stock, including inventory tracking and placing orders.
- Support the Venue Manager in monitoring and controlling operational costs, including labour and food & beverage expenses.
- Ensure the venue is kept clean and tidy at all times.

**Key Requirements**:

- Full working rights in Australia.
- Minimum 1 year barista experience, with basic latte art skills
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
- Ability to multitask, thrive under pressure, and work collaboratively as part of a team.

**Desirable Qualities**:

- Permanent residency or Australian citizenship.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role or demonstrated skills with an eagerness to grow.
- Willingness to work weekends and public holidays.
