This role is primarily involved in negotiating appropriate models of care and pricing consistent with the Supplier Guidelines and reflective of the needs of individual children and young people and the shared household. This will require the negotiation of cost effective, appropriate placement services for individual children within the non-government sector. The role may have a supervisory element and may have significant involvement in high cost, complex or sensitive cases.
The role will contribute to the development and implementation of strategies and projects to monitor regional placement capacity and provide regular regional reports to the Manager PSS and the Director PPI and may provide specialist advice in relation to the placement needs of the region, for children with complex or extreme level of support needs.
This role is central to the region's placement and IPS reduction strategies and projects to achieve outcomes of both strategies. services delivered to children and young people. The role will facilitate effective communication across a number of stakeholders include CSSCs, PSS team, Investment and Partnership teams and Quality and Practice Support Team.
The role will participate in IPS panels and provide a management role in the IPS system. This includes providing a high level of advice and quality analysis on each child that is in an IPS funded placement to the Manager PSS, Director PPI, regional governance groups and other reporting requirements.This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
