**Company**
Our client is a leading builder developer and head contractor who has been operating in SEQ for nearly 30 years. They specialise in commercial construction, industrial, retail, education and government projects between $5-$60M.
Due to continuing project requirements they are now looking to employ a HSE Advisor for the western corridor / Ipswich based projects.
**Responsibilities include**
- Overall implementation / coordination of WHSE Management System.
- Provide ongoing education / mentoring to staff on their WHSE responsibilities / functions.
- Provide advice, strategies and problem solving to site and project personnel on all health, safety and environmental matters.
- Take the lead role in investigation of injuries, incidents and near miss events, including recommending improvements at both a site level and corporate improvements.
- Be point of contact for all staff as well as government bodies in relation to health and safety procedures, standards and compliance. This includes changes to work practices, procedures or equipment.
- Minimum Cert IV in WHS
- Experience working on similar projects for a builder/principal contractor.
- Longevity and commitment to previous employers and projects.
- Strong understanding of latest OH&S legislation
- Well organised with a high attention to detail
- Excellent communication & problem-solving skills
