Robert Half is currently recruiting an experienced Payroll Officer for a highly regarded and respected organisation in Australia with a global reach, located Melbourne's CBD fringe.
This role will have you involved in the full function payroll process, undertake payroll compliance functions, improve systems & processes with the ability to work independently or within a team environment.
This role is offering a permanent position to join a motivated finance team with hybrid opportunities
**The Role**
Working within an established team, taking ownership of the organisation's payroll your duties will include:
- Processing Payroll - Weekly, Fortnightly & Monthly
- Coordinate activities of various payroll and alignment of correct EBAs
- Managing all payroll, employees and HR enquires
- Payroll compliance functions such as Superannuation, PAYG, Tax
- Assist in Month end and year end reconciliations
- Preparing & reporting monthly payroll & HR Reports
- Providing assistance with other finance duties when required
- Ability to work with various stakeholders to develop new ideas and implement solutions
- Assist in system upgrades, recommend changes to processes to improve organisations effectiveness

**Your Profile**
Working within a professional and dedicated payroll team and having a close relationship with the Division's key Stakeholders your duties will include:
- General understanding of finance procedures with respect to payroll processes
- Previous experience handling tax and superannuation matters
- Preceda, HR systems and excel experience or similar
- Strong understanding of termination calculations as they relate to taxation
- Ability to work under pressure & tight deadlines
- High attention to detail & proficiency with numbers
- Customer service orientation
- Analytical mind and ability to think laterally
