Perenti is a diversified global mining services group with businesses in surface mining, underground mining, and mining support services.

Perenti seeks to engage a suitably experienced **Principal Sustainability** to support the continual improvement in the sustainability performance of Perenti.

This role reports to the **Vice President Sustainability** and will assist in the development and maintenance of sustainability-related processes and initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities in this role**
- Lead the development of the company-wide Sustainability strategic objectives, sustainability standards and initiatives
- Develop and partner with the operating business to roll out social performance expectations including those related to human rights, community and Indigenous engagement, and community investment
- Support the development and execution of a group-wide decarbonization plan.
- Coordinate the internal sustainability working group
- Develop and coordinate internal sustainability awareness campaigns
- Drive enhanced disclosure practices and investor engagement
- Help prepare materials for the Sustainability Committee of the Board and Group Executive Committee (GEC)
- Lead the preparation of the Annual Sustainability Report and Modern Slavery Statement
- Undertake site inspections and audits as required
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in environmental and sustainability management across the Group
- Review and update the sustainability section of the corporate website as necessary

**Experience and Qualifications**
- Tertiary qualifications in Environment/Sustainability/Social related discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
- Minimum 5-10 years experience in environmental/sustainability/community relations management in the mining or related industry
- High level of communication, influencing, engagement, and negotiation skills
- Lead auditor '“ Management Systems

**The role will be based at the Perenti office in the Perth CBD**.
