**OUTPATIENTS DEPARTMENT**
The Alfred Health Outpatients Program is responsible for the delivery of a number of non-admitted services across the organisation as well as several services that support the delivery of clinical care, including Specialist Consulting Clinics, The Alfred Transit Lounge, GP Liaison Service, Health Information Service and the Referral In service.
The Health Information Service provides a range of functions including VAED reporting, medical record management and clinical information requests, Switchboard and enquiries services.

Health Information Services clerks complete a range of duties within the department including; Scanning and importing of patient medical record documents into Cerner EMR, providing historical paper medical records where required, the release of information for GP, hospital and other health services requests, and updating patient information with the patient administrative database.
**QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Higher School Certificate/Victorian Certificate of Education.
- Highly developed organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Administrative and customer service experience in a hospital environment desirable***
