Sydney Metro - Quality Assurance Manager

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of the Health & Safety Team supporting the operation of the Metro North West Line and opening of the City Section on the Sydney Metro City & Southwest Project.

The purpose of this role is to support safety, quality and assurance management activities as part of operations. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Safety Quality and conducts safety assurance reviews, risk assessments and quality management activities to ensure compliance by the contracted Operator with all relevant safety, contractual, legislative and regulatory requirements
**Your new role**
- Participate in assurance reviews and deep dive sessions and ensure actions are completed
- Support the update of the Health & Safety Management System documents relating to Operations
- Participate in documentation reviews and assurance activities of the operator
- Participate in risk assessments and safety case activities
- Review and critique Interface Protocols with other Operators, and Railway Operating Manuals to ensure compliance to all relevant operating standards and procedures
- Contribute to a risk based audit program, inspection and monitoring schedule with associated assurance activities and reporting regimes, and ensure all audit non-conformances are closed out within agreed timeframes
- Engage in Sydney Metro and Operator risk activities and reviews to address key risks, issues and specific activities which may have an impact on the operating environment
- Safety data analysis, preparation of reports, presentations and Minutes for forums and working groups across Sydney Metro and the Operator

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in rail safety, safety assurance or health & safety
- Certified Lead Auditor
- Investigations experience and qualifications e.g. ICAM desired but not essential
- A valid Rail Industry Worker (RIW) card
