**About this opportunity**
As a member of the Minto site leadership team, the Quality Assurance Co-ordinator’s role is a technical position, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. The role has responsibility for all aspects of Quality at this site which produces mid to large injection moulded products that meets the ISO 9001 Quality system requirements.
Working closely with peers in WHSE, Engineering/Maintenance, and the Production teams in particular, this role is responsible for continuous improvement, setting up of quality systems, testing processes particularly on coordinate measurement machine and quality system dissemination to staff.
The role will be responsible for quality from the outset, working with customers to ensure specifications are agreed and documented, service level agreements are outlined and clear, processes are documented and consistently adhered to.
The Quality Assurance Coordinator role will also play a key role in our strategic objective of increasing the use of recycled content in our products. This will involve working closely with the divisional Technical and Sales teams and coordinating relevant trials on site.
**Your key responsibilities will be to**:

- Focus on quality output that meets customer expectations and agreed standards and specifications.
- Use your knowledge of ISO 9001 and ongoing 2nd & 3rd party system certification requirements in improvement of process and systems
- Support the new Laboratory with working knowledge of CMM, Universal Testing Machine (UTM) and Melt flow index (MFI) machines plus various off the shelf gauge
- Stay up to date with changes, or best practices across the industry
- In conjunction with the Site Manager and Leadership team, understand and work towards all customer requirements and quality specifications, ensuring processes and testing methods are set up and maintained
- Be the authority in all quality aspects relating to of the production
- Support the Site Operations Manager to build and maintain strong personal relationships with key client stakeholders, ensuring contractual compliance in quality and service delivery.
- Identify improvement opportunities
- Support the Site Manager to position the business to achieve sustainable solid financial growth that meets or exceeds annual Quality related KPIs
- Promote a culture of zero harm including an unrelenting focus on continually improving our safety culture
- Drive the uptake of recycled content in products manufactured at the Minto site

**Your skills and experience**
- To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

- Solid experience in a similar role
- Experience in a technical role, relating to plastics and/or recycling
- Superior communication skills. A personable leader, with the ability to communicate and connect across all levels (from shop floor to senior leadership teams)
- Certificate IV in Mechanical Engineering
- Qualifications in science or related field
