**The Position**
- Position Title: Social Worker - Residential Rehabilitation
- Classification: SC21 - SC24
- Salary per hour (exc. super): $42.19 - $48.49
- Hours per fortnight: 56
- Employment Status: Fixed-term part-time
- Other requirements: COVID-19 Vaccination

**Role Description**
- This position is incorporated in the residential settings as part of the Social Work portfolio, and provides Social Work services to patients of the Dual Diagnosis Residential Rehabilitation programme also known as the Dual Diagnosis Unit (DDU). Key responsibilities include;
- Provide social work services to inpatients and members of their family/support network
- Work as a member of an inter-disciplinary team involved with assessment, treatment planning, implementation, and recovery focused discharge planning
- Address the issues of support for patients of the service, and their carers and service providers, with social work services aimed towards assisting them to function in the least restrictive environment

**The Team**
- The team is part of Bendigo Health’s Mental Health Department. Residential Rehabilitation (Dual Diagnosis) has 8 beds with an expected average stay of 3 months but a tailored treatment plan and thorough initial and ongoing assessment may result in shorter or longer stays depending on the individual needs. **Selection Criteria**
- Essential : Degree in Social Work recognised by the AASW and eligibility for AASW national accreditation status
- Essential : Ability to satisfy the requirements of the Bendigo Health Allied Health Credentialing and Professional Standards document
- Desirable : Demonstrated clinical experience and skills in Rehabilitation and Recovery oriented service provision, in community settings
- Desirable : Well-developed verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and computer literacy skills and knowledge
- Desirable : Proven ability to liaise and consult with relevant family members, team members and a broad range of health professionals and community agencies
- Desirable : Evidence of a commitment to ongoing professional development, further post grad qualifications in related field and compliance with all Bendigo Health mandatory training requirements
- Desirable : Demonstrated time management skills to manage a caseload, meet deadlines, maintain schedules, set goals/objectives, as required
