We work in partnership with local councils to operate Tip Shops and Recycle Markets. Our Tip Shops and Recycle Markets recover good quality items which were destined to become landfill; and that's where you come in As our Reuse Shop Assistant you will: - Deliver an exceptional customer service to everyone visting the reuse shop - Coordinate the daily operation of the retail shop - Handle cash in line with approved cash handling procedures and deposit all cash for banking to ensure information is correct - Manage the petty cash float and maintain accurate records - Price products as per agreed guidelines and keep on top of stock and floor layout to maximise potential sales - Work within and have regard for Workplace Health and Safety - Be familiar with (or willing to learn) ACCC legislation - Work with mínimal supervision **What will you bring to the role?** - Superb customer service and great communication - Passion for all things recycling and reducing waste - Availability to work Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday - Excellent time management skills - Physically fit due to the demands of the role - Experience in identifying and valuing second hand items - License and own transport preferred due to limited public transport - Forklift ticket desirable, but not essential - Medium level of computer literacy** **and financial reporting **How can you join Endeavour Foundation?** Please note, before commencing with Endeavour Foundation, you will be required to undertake a **“Fit2Work” National Criminal History Check, **hold or be willing to obtain a **Working with Children Check (Blue Card) **and a** NDIS Worker Screening Check/Yellow Card.** Additionally, in line with the direction from State Government, all authorised workers defined under the Queensland Public Health Order are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
