Job description

North Brisbane Trees is an established Arboricultural Company based in Samford, Brisbane who carries out tree trimming, removals, tree planting and landscaping.

We are seeking hardworking individuals to work with our Arborist crews. We are currently looking for Arborists who are experienced in the tree industry.

Tree work is a is physically demanding and requires a good level of physical fitness, grit and determination

The successful applicant must either have their chainsaw ticket or be willing to obtain this.

Experience required: Certificate III and 2 years full-time employment experience, or 3 years employment experience may substitute for the formal qualification;
Job Objective:
The Arborist is responsible for the maintenance and care for trees and shrubs by trimming, shaping branches, treating trees with fertilisers and insecticides, removing decaying trees and advising on general tree care.

Job Tasks and Duties:

- Identify particular types of trees;
- Inspect trees, pruning or planting according to the tree’s condition, and in the area in which it is situated;
- Specialise in keeping trees healthy, determining the proper species to plant dependant on climate and soil conditions;
- Deal with hazards such as trees that are within dangerous proximity to power lines, and also clear damaged or fallen branches and trees after storms;
- Consult with local councils and liaise between local authorities and members of the public about the maintenance or removal of specific trees;
- Pruning trees and hedges, and installing plant support and protection devices;
- Lopping limbs off trees and shaping branches using chain and hand saws;
- Spraying and dusting plants and trees to control insects and disease;

Pay: $78,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

- Truck licence (preferred)
- Australian driver's licence (required)
- White Card (required)
