**Be part of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for managing the visitor centre operations, delivery of koala husbandry activities including fodder collection, maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, administrative duties and asset maintenance. There is a strong focus on communication and visitor services, as our Wildlife officers also deliver outstanding community engagement activities that align with the South East Queensland Koala Conservation Strategy 2020-2025. The position will require you to be able to work outdoors conducting strenuous activities, to confidently engage with members of the public, undertake hands-on centre maintenance activities and perform administrative tasks including procurement, reporting and correspondence.

Built by the Queensland Government as a dedicated koala education facility, the Daisy Hill Koala Centre was opened to the public in 1995. Located within the Daisy Hill Conservation Park, the Daisy Hill Koala Centre is the best place to learn about koalas and their conservation. The centre has a large, immersive koala exhibit as well as informative and interactive exhibits that reveal the unique qualities of this iconic species and the efforts to conserve it. The centre operates as part of the Gateway Visitor Centres team which also consists of David Fleay Wildlife Park and Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre.
