About the Role
We are looking for the right person to drive the growth of our Melbourne based Digital Engineering business unit, while also driving innovation, change and improvement across all areas. We don’t offer these roles often - it is a senior position within the Datacom hierarchy, and the General Manager Digital Engineering is given the autonomy and scope to lead their Business how they best see fit, while given the support and resources they need to bring their vision to reality.
Datacom takes great pride in the delivery of world class development services to our customers and this role is fundamental to that delivery.
What you’ll do
This is a senior position with responsibility for running the business, engaging customers, line management, mentoring, planning, pre-sales and executing our Digital Engineering strategy.
As someone who loves speaking with customers, you’ll be adept at building strong relationships and driving growth comes naturally to you.
This is a challenging role, but the rewards and scope to grow further are substantial.
What you’ll bring
You'll love achieving real business results with software development, problem solving and team work. You will have Professional Services in your background, and be passionate about running a business and leading a team to success. A fundamental part of this role is being able to engage with our customers and drive revenue growth.
Using Agile to deliver real business value through software engineering is a core focus for our customers. You will have the experience and capability to define engagements which assure our customers are successful with this. You will present and communicate these plans to customers, internally and at industry events, and lead the team that turns them into reality.
