**The role**:
The Activity Officer will provide person-centred supports within a wellness and reablement framework, which builds independence and supports participants’ choices and lifestyle preferences.

You will support assessment and intake of participants seeking access to Gateways services and assist in the development and updating of participant support plans.

The incumbent will also develop fun programs as directed, and in partnership with the Team Leader, that support participants to increase their independence, build skills and work on goals that align with the relevant NDIA, CHSP and HCP domains of support.
- High level of emotional intelligence, with the ability to self-reflect.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills verbal, non-verbal and written.
- Demonstrated experience supervising support staff in a Disability Services (or similar) environment.
- Proven capacity to contribute to building a team, focused on high quality service.
- Experience in developing a range of quality recreational activities.
- Certificate IV in Disability or Community Services (desirable).
- Commitment to teamwork and accountability.
