This is your chance to join Piccolina Gelateria, one of Melbourne’s most iconic hospitality businesses. Over the past seven years, Piccolina has become a Melbourne institution with seven store locations, including Collingwood, Hawthorn, St Kilda, Richmond, Chadstone and the CBD.

We’re looking for an highly motivated operations coordinator to join the team and oversee a cluster of up to two or three stores as we prepare to expand locally and interstate.

Reporting to the Company Operations Manager, our operations coordinators are integral Piccolina ambassadors, championing best practice customer service and ways of working whilst driving a positive team first culture.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Providing outstanding customer service, and equipping your team to do the same
- Maintaining excellent store presentation standards at all times
- Recruitment and selection of new team members including onboarding and induction process
- Coordinate training and coaching that enables the team to grow in their roles
- Managing roster requirements in line with wage budgets/targets
- Coordinating staff unavailabilities and leave management
- Manage stores stock control and ordering procedures
- Ensuring daily operations are well managed and systems in use
- Driving sales and managing all controllable costs

**What we’re looking for in our operation coordinators**:

- Hospitality and/or retail experience
- An ability to lead and motivate teams, to bring the best out of each person
- Works autonomously with mínimal management supervision
- A genuine care factor for customers and a commitment to service
- Great communication skills and positive attitude
- Proactive thinking, initiative and a solution-mindset at all times
- Attention to detail, noticing the one-percenters and fixing them

This role is ideal for someone who takes pleasure in leading teams, enjoys working in a different store each day, interacting with people and customers, all while possessing a knack for administrative responsibilities like managing rosters and systems.

**Hours and Salary.**

Operations Coordinators are full time, 38 hours per week, 2 days off per week, with shifts on at least two of three days across Fri-Sat-Sun with admin hours/days allocated for rostering/recruitment/training and team meetings.

Annual salary of $70,000 to $75,000 (plus super + bonus) depending on your experience and negotiation skills
