**About the role**
This role will lead the provision of payroll services for DP World Australia to ensure timely, accurate practices and payment of staff in line with all Enterprise agreements, awards, and Employment contracts across all 7 legal employers, ensuring that all Statutory requirements are met. Together with HR/allocations, establish the strategy for payroll including systems, processes and people. Advise the business to ensure the cost outcomes for labour expense, DP World’s largest single expense, are optimized to achieve maximum value. Improve the delivery of payroll to constantly improve accuracy, customer service a nd reporting/data analysis.
**Key accountabilities**
- Lead and enable other teams (finance, HR and allocations for example) in better linking with payroll to improve the overall product by improving communications, systems, processes, etc.
- Manage the processing of DP World payroll across all our Enterprise Agreements and applicable Awards
- Provides advice and Manage updates on changes in legislation as it applies to payroll (Super, Terminations, Tax etc) and applies them accordingly and ensure we are meeting all legislative requirements
- Manages standisation of payroll practices and procedures across all payrolls and legal employers to ensure consistency
- Ensure Compliance in relation to PAYG, State Payroll Tax rules, Superannuation, Long Service Leave state legislation and Single Touch payroll Legislation. This includes leading the implementation of any system or other changes required to comply with the frequent rule changes that occur.
- Conduct regular audits of the payroll to ensure payments are being made in line with payment rules and legislation.
- Provide statistical and analytical reports and data to ensure accurate and meaningful data and analysis is available to the organisation
- SME of CHRIS payroll System, Oracle HCM as it relates to payroll.
**Experience, skills and qualifications**
- 10 years or more experience in management and training of payroll staff
- 15 years or more of payroll experience in general
- CHRIS and Oracle experience preferred.
- 10 years of more of Strong Industrial relations management experience in relation to Payroll
- Working Knowledge of current superannuation, payroll tax, Single Touch Payroll legislations as they relate to payroll.
- Advanced excel capability to allow appropriate analysis and reporting.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in HR, Accounting or Business
