API security specialist, Sydney CBD, 6 Month contract, $1000-$1200 p/d + Super

**Your new company**
This role sits within a government organisation with a head office in the heart of Sydney CBD. You will work with one of the leading agencies in government with an excellent reputation in a highly productive team. The organisation is focused on providing access to government services for customers, businesses and partner agencies.

**Your new role**
The organisation is looking for an API security specialist to join our Cyber Security team to develop an enterprise-wide approach to managing API’s by evaluating and assessing the risk of the organisations API’s. You will also be responsible for managing the policies, processes and standards and developing a strategy and documentation in relation to API security.

**What you'll need to succeed**
As well as in in depth understanding of Cyber security you will be required to possess the following skills:

- An expert understanding of APIs and securing API environments
- Demonstrated experience with risk assessments of APIs
- Strong background in Security Operations
- Experience working within enterprise-wide environments
- Experience with MuleSoft beneficial but not essential
