This role is classified as Level 3 (annual base salary $89, 140 - $96,482) under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement. The successful applicant will be offered remuneration that is commensurate with their skills and experience and in alignment with this framework.

** The Department**

At the heart of SBS, Audio and Language Content has over 60 language teams engaging audiences in conversations on Australian and international news and current affairs, and connecting communities through stories and providing settlement information. We deliver services across radio, podcasting, online and social media.

** The Role**

Reporting to the Executive Producer, the role of Digital Lead is to create the digital strategy for SBS Cantonese. This includes the creation and strategic placement of digital content, and moderation of relevant websites and social media platforms.

** About you**

We are looking for someone with advanced communication skills and proven experience in developing and executing digital content with capabilities such as- Demonstrated experience in producing online content, preferably within a radio, television or print/magazine environment.
- Knowledge of best practice of cross-media production techniques including new media usability principals to deliver content to the correct specifications.
- Exceptional knowledge and proven experience using social media and emerging technology to drive online content engagement and grow communities (audiences)
- Intermediate Photoshop and basic html required. CMS experience essential.
- Demonstrate professional experience in managing all major social media platforms and technologies
- Understanding of all web-based tools and experience using content management systems.
- Good administrative abilities including accuracy, numeracy, organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines and pursue a task to completion.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and problem-solve.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Good understanding of the Cantonese-speaking community in Australia.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with video production and editing for social media.
- Very good organisational skills with the ability to be flexible and manage competing priorities which have tight deadlines
