About the Community Safety Building Authority
The Community Safety Building Authority (CSBA) within the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) has been established to design, procure, build and upgrade the infrastructure needed to keep communities safe. Currently going through an exciting period of growth. CSBA are looking for a multitude of positions to be filled to support both new and existing projects.
The CSBA provides end-to-end project development, management and delivery of Victoria's new prisons, youth justice centres, court and custody facilities, emergency services facilities and public safety features such as pedestrian walkway bollards and CCTV networks. As well as delivering new infrastructure CSBA modernises, expands, and upgrades existing facilities.
The CSBA has a highly skilled workforce of experienced professionals from across the public and private sectors that support the development, procurement, and delivery oversight of major capital projects. The CSBA team includes specialists in community safety infrastructure, project management, engineering, cost management, commercial management, planning and design.
This role will contribute to a variety of complex construction projects, including projects in development and delivery phases, the procurement of contracted services and products, and ongoing process improvement.
The role of a Project Officer within CSBA
- Contributes to complex construction projects.
- Prepares a range of project documents, monitors and reports on project status, contributing to risk and issue management.
- Manage and oversee the processes for project procurement and contract management.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with multiple stakeholders.

About the Role
The Project Officer will be responsible for preparing project plans, monitoring and reporting on project status, contributing to risk and issue management, effective stakeholder liaison, engagement of consultants and contractors, site attendance pre/during construction, contract administration, financial reporting and project governance.
The role may involve working on more than one project concurrently.

**You will also**:

- Prepare daily construction surveillance report including monitoring of construction program and 2 week lookahead program.
- Liaise and collate OHS metrics to update governance reports. Co-ordinate safety incident investigations, reporting and closeout safety incidents with Principal Contractor and CSBA Safety Manager.
- Review and manage revisions to Principal Constructor's management plans in consultation with the Senior Project Manager.
- Manage and build strong relationships with Corrections Victoria Operations Manager, Facility management team members and CV escort staff. Work closely with the Corrections Victoria Facility Management team to close out and handover As Builts and OM Manuals.
- Manage correspondence and site access to site to State Locksmith, State technical advisors, CSBA I.T. teams and accept deliveries. Manage correspondence and site access for decanting of CV staff and equipment. Manager prison access requests
- Manage defect process on Aconex for allocated Separable Portions.
- Prepare and review project documentation including reports, budgets and briefing materials for senior management and stakeholders as required.
- Manage the procurement activities and engagements, ensuring they are completed on time and to the satisfaction of stakeholders as required.
- Organise, participate in and facilitate project meetings, provide secretariat support for complex/contractual meetings and follow up of action items.
