About the role:
An exciting opportunity to join the Merchandise Global Sourcing Team.

In this role you will review the way we bring product into the business to deliver productivity gains that further optimise value of our products.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with teams and suppliers to reconfigure product and transit packaging to optimise container fill, reduce handling costs and improve speed to market.

What's involved:
- Lead and coordinate trials to validate new packaging ideas and technologies- Analyse the value chain and recommend changes that save cost and improve value for consumers- Support to review and present opportunities in line with existing range review processes- Assist to implement strategies to review and transition packaging to meet APCO’s target- Maintain a database of accurate packaging information- Help track progress on key packaging productivity programmes and compliance monitoring

Who we’re looking for:
You will bring highly developed, planning and organisational skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative team oriented approach in order to successfully partner with various internal and external stakeholders and be open to learning and developing.

You’ll need:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in packaging, science, sustainability, engineering or similar- Experience with shipping process and importing from overseas supply chain (highly desired)- Experience with packaging change programmes- A high level of attention to detail with strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal- Proficient computer literacy across Microsoft Suite- Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
