**About the role**

Reporting to the Manager Clinical Practice Guidelines, the responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:

- Support the development and maintenance of Ambulance Victoria's (AV's) clinical practice standards, protocols, guidelines and instructions for ALS, MICA, Flight and Volunteer practitioners using best practice principles to ensure the safe clinical care with a strong focus on evidence based care and continuous improvement
- Provide reports including evidence summaries and recommendations to the Medical Advisory Committee regarding AV clinical practice
- Develop and implement communication strategies to inform paramedics of clinical practice changes
- Represent Medical Directorate on related committees, providing specialist input and recommendations.

**About you**

To be considered for this position you will be tertiary qualified in a relevant health related field, possess postgraduate study related to evidence based practice and policy, knowledge translation, quality in healthcare or equivalent. You have experience with working within and influencing complex clinical governance systems and possess systems thinking and well developed conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills. Experience in undertaking clinical evidence reviews including systematic literature reviews and critical appraisal of research evidence is essential. You have demonstrated history of effective negotiation, advanced communication and effective consultation with a range of stakeholders.

The position is graded at AV-5. The AV grade salary range for AV-5 position is $122,236 - $144,502 + 10.5% Superannuation, as well as excellent employment conditions in accordance with Ambulance Victoria's Enterprise Agreement.
