**We are excited to announce we are recruiting into our Clinical & Quality Practice Lead position with an Adult portfolio within our Emergency Department at Monash Medical Centre Clayton.**

**About Monash Medical Centre Clayton’s Emergency Department (MMC ED)**

Monash Health is the largest public health service in Victoria, employing over 18,000 people across a range of specialities.

MMC ED is a Tertiary level department with separate Adult and Paediatric areas. We have onsite access to Tertiary Level Higher Care for Paediatric as well as Cardiac and Neurosurgery patients, combined with a diverse range of inpatient specialist support services.

**MMC ED **is being rebuilt and expanding with major capital works having commenced which will deliver:

- An Adult Emergency Department Expansion
- Dedicated Children’s Emergency
- Additional Short Stay Beds
- Cutting Edge Technology
- Improved Ambulance Access

**About The Role**

Reporting to the Nurse Manager (NM), the **Clinical and Quality practice Lead** will work closely with the Nurse Manager to ensure the provision of safe and effective care as well as assist with the efficient management of the Emergency Department at Clayton. The **role** will also play an integral part in supporting the management of quality and safety, as well as the achievement of organisational targets. The role is also a clinical leadership role offering the opportunity to inspire the ED clinical team to perform at their best whilst working collaboratively with all key stakeholders.

This is a 0.63 EFT permanent appointment.

You have been developing your management and leadership skills with significant proven nursing experience; either way, you are ready to take this next step in your career. You thrive working in a dynamic, fast paced environment and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of evidence based nursing care to all patients. You are ready to a key part of a truly dynamic and growing Emergency Services at Monash Health and are an advocate of Monash Health’s Strategic Guiding Principles. Your underlying enthusiasm for quality is evident in and supported by quality improvement initiatives demonstrated as part of your demonstrated nursing experience.

**What You Need**
- A post Graduate Qualification in Emergency Nursing or Leadership (highly desirable)
- Substantial proven experience leading by example in nursing leadership/management roles
- Outstanding communication skills
- Current AHPRA registration (CNS level or above)
- Australian working rights
- Willingness to take on a portfolio(s) contributing to ward quality improvements and National Standards
