As the Ward Administration Assistant, you will be responsible for the provision of administrative, clerical and reception services. In this role, you will be required to work in close proximity to patients and should have a working knowledge of hospital operations and activities. The successful applicant will be able to work autonomously, with mínimal supervision.

**About the role**:
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager and Administration Manager, the Ward Administrative Assistant will monitor workflow, prioritise tasks and must be able to work autonomously, with mínimal supervision and use initiative and judgment.

Duties for the role will include:

- Answering all incoming telephone calls and dealing with routine patient enquiries
- Filing results in the patient medical record
- Acting as a resource and providing general assistance and advice to medical staff regarding administrative requirements and hospital services
- Conveying patient transfer, admission and discharge information to the Central Patient and Bed Manager in a timely manner

**About you**:

- Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Previous experience as a Ward Administrative Assistant/Admin Assistant
- Experience working in a clinical environment
- Demonstrated ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
