About you
The assistant in nursing is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities
Work as a valued member of the team, providing daily care to patients under the supervision of the Registered Nurse
Vital signs and patient monitoring, reporting all changes to nursing in charge
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Provide emotional support to patients and their families
Work within the multidisciplinary team to promote best outcomes for patients in out care.
What you bring
Currently enrolled and studying a Bachelor of Nursing, completion of first year of studies.
Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
