Role Purpose:
**Responsibilities**:

- Interpret business requirements into compelling and engaging visual insights and reports utilising a data visualisation tool preferably Power BI.
- Proficient at working with data from a variety of business systems including data extraction, combining data, summarising data and ability to deal with data quality issues.
- Demonstrate strong technical skills in the use of Business intelligence packages, data visualisation tools and data mining tools including SQL.
- Undertake critical data analysis and develop customer-level insights to support business needs
- Inform and guide strategies through ongoing creation and monitoring of performance through designing, executing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and analysis.
- Ability to create and build interactive dashboards in PowerBI that are timely and accurate to meet tight timeframes
- Maintenance of existing reports and reporting solutions.
- Experience in querying large data sources, undertaking analytics and delivering business insights.
- Practiced in data extraction and reporting; with the ability to interpret complex datasets and provide insights.
- Exercise sound judgment while analysing and interpreting data to ensure a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness.
- Develop and maintain adhoc reporting requests on agreed cadence and establish automation processes for ongoing generation as and when required by key stakeholders.
- High levels of initiative with the ability to deal with multiple projects simultaneously that may have conflicting priorities.
- Proven expertise in querying multiple data sources and complex data sets.

What you bring to the role:

- At least 5 + years of professional experience working with Data visualisation tools preferably Power BI.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or similar discipline.
- Able to demonstrate extensive real world development experience creating SQL scripts to move and manipulate data.
- Experience of working on the Azure platform, Data Vault 2.0, Azure Synapse, ADLS and Databricks.
- Knowledge and understanding of data warehousing methodologies such as Kimball and Inmon as well as industry software engineering practices.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Agile Development process
- Ensure work quality, accuracy and undertake peer review.
- Make recommendations about the best response to the issues, trends and opportunities
- Partner and work alongside data stewards, data architects, and software engineers
- Willingness to learn new technologies and keen to drive innovation
- Good operator, strong collaborative, interpersonal and consultative skills
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
