- Assistant Golf Course Superintendent (2IC)

**Objectives**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop course maintenance staff to a high skill level and work with the team to employ these skills in day-to-day activities with the aim of improving productivity and efficiency
- Work with the Management team to promote member satisfaction through the maintenance and positive presentation of the golf course and surrounding premises
- Maintain and build strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Respond to communication in a prompt manner to ensure stakeholders remain up-to-date and well informed
- Thoroughly assist in all WH&S training needs and procedures, including the identification of potential issues
- Any other duties as directed by Course Superintendent or Senior Management

**Assistant Golf Course Superintendent (2IC) Position Requirements**
- Certificate or Diploma in Sports Turf Management
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in the turf industry
- Practical experience in the operation and maintenance of horticultural plant and machinery
- Experience and sound knowledge of irrigation, repairs, programming, and troubleshooting
- Strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a small team
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and competing priorities effectively
- Competent and experienced with a wide range of turf machinery
- Effective communication skills with ability to liaise with team members and members of the public
- Ability to perform the inherent physical requirements of the role
- Hold a current Australian driver licence
- Valid, full-time Australian working rights
