We are seeking a Forensic Science Graduate to join our client’s highly respected Fire Investigations team based at their head office in Western Sydney. Our client offers a thorough, truly impartial forensic investigation services built on decades of experience and knowledge. You will provide the Senior Fire Investigator with the operational, technical and administrative support required to successfully deliver the fire investigation process.

**As the Junior Fire Investigator, you will**:

- Assist with the management and review of all types of forensic fire investigation
- Support the investigation and forensic examination of scenes of fire/ explosions including commercial, residential, burglary, motor vehicle, heavy equipment, arson, liability claims and recovery matters
- Aiding Senior Fire Investigator in criminal matters
- Assisting with digital scene recording and plan drawings
- Collection of samples for laboratory analysis and testing
- Collecting and labelling evidence while maintaining the chain of custody
- Learning and understanding the science of fire, fire behaviour and the chemical analysis applicable in fires with a chemical origin
- Assist in producing investigation reports
- Assist the Senior Fire Investigator with interviewing personnel, police, authorities, claimants, witnesses, and industry experts

**Essential Criteria**:

- Degree in Forensic Science or Fire Investigations
- Basic laboratory skills
- Highly analytical with high attention to detail
- Strong administration and report writing skills
- Excellent communicator
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Driver licence (P1 or above)

**Salary**:$65K + Superannuation
