**Exciting Privacy Officer Role with a large Government Department Team**

**Due to extra resources required, role during a very busy period our client is seeking an experienced privacy officer to support the team.**

**The Opportunity**:

- **Expert Policy Support**: Provide expert policy advice and engagement for information privacy to corporate and school-based staff.
- **Responsive Handling**: Address privacy enquiries, complaints, and incidents, supporting the Department and schools.
- **Policy Development**: Develop and implement privacy policies, prepare resources, and deliver targeted training.
- **Impactful Support**: Assist departmental projects with Privacy Impact Assessments.
- **Interdisciplinary Engagement**: Collaborate with IT, digital learning, security, and procurement teams.
- **Specialist Knowledge**: Maintain and develop expertise in privacy legislation, guiding the Department's compliance.

**About You**:

- **Privacy Expertise**: Strong understanding of privacy legislation and practice.
- **Effective Communication**: Exceptional policy advice and engagement skills.
- **Responsive Problem Solving**: Skill in handling privacy enquiries, complaints, and incidents.
- **Policy Development**: Ability to create and implement privacy policies and resources.
- **Collaborative Spirit**: Work seamlessly with various departments and interdisciplinary teams.
- **Detail-Oriented**: Ensure precision in Privacy Impact Assessments and related tasks.
