The Bureau is seeking an enthusiastic Freedom of Information (FOI) & Privacy Officer to assist with managing the Bureau’s obligations under the _Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Commonwealth), Privacy Act 1988 (Commonwealth)_ and the Australian Government Agencies Privacy Code.
You will provide professional advice to internal decision-makers when responding to requests for information under the FOI Act, managing FOI compliance and administrative activities, contributing to the development of the Bureau’s FOI framework, providing advice to the organisation in relation to privacy matters and privacy compliance, and contributing to the enhancement of the Bureau's privacy maturity.
Whilst based at the Bureau’s Melbourne Office in Docklands Victoria, work from other locations will be considered. The role reports to the FOI & Privacy Manager.
