**Our service**:
Safe Space Caboolture is a peer-led service that provides a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for people experiencing emotional distress, allowing them to:

- Identify accessible alternatives to presenting to hospital emergency departments
- Access friendly support from people with a lived experience within the community
- Connect to other services and community supports

**On offer**:

- Based in Caboolture, QLD
- 2 x Permanent, part-time opportunity available (42 hours per fortnight, made up of 3 working days one week and 4 working days the next week in the overall fortnight)
- Paying on HPSS Level 3 (above award payment for highly experienced clinicians) plus Super

**Role Overview**:
As part of the multidisciplinary team, the Clinician will provide focused psychological strategies tailored to meet the individual needs of adults and families accessing the service within a community based mental health care setting. As well as working with relevant service systems to respond appropriately to their mental health and developmental needs.
- Providing high standard assessments, psychological, counselling and therapeutic interventions
- Opportunities to run group programs
- Liaising and working with internal and external stakeholders

**Requirements**:

- Must have one of the following: Undergrade degree and AHPRA registration in Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Psychology. Mental Health Accreditation is desirable but not mandatory.
- Ideally 3 years’ experience working in peer lead services, comfortable with crisis response and suicidal presentation.
- Extensive & demonstrated experience providing clinical services to young people (12-25 years)
- Well-developed judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating a working understanding assessment and care planning
- Sound understanding of the public, non-government and private mental health systems and programs and associated non-mental health programs in a community setting
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills showing an ability and sensitivity to work with people who have or are at risk of developing a mental illness
- Proven ability to work creatively, collaboratively and effectively as a member of a team
- Demonstrated skills in organisation and time-management, including the ability to work under pressure and balance multiple tasks
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
- Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card
