We are seeking a talented individual to join our Change and Transformation team at Mercer. This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide or Brisbane. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

**Program Coordinator - Change and Transformation (Fixed-term Contract)**

The Program Coordinator will provide administrative and operational support to the Program Management Office (PMO) for large-scale strategic projects. This role requires a highly organized and experienced individual to support the planning, execution, and governance of programs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and delivery of expected outcomes.

**We will count on you to**:

- ** Establish and role model program Governance.** Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks, including policies, procedures, and reporting standards to ensure consistent program execution and compliance.
- ** Be proactive in planning & scheduling**: Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed program plans, timelines, and milestones, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and resource availability.
- ** Facilitate stakeholder management**: Act as a central point of contact for program stakeholders, facilitating effective communication, managing expectations, and providing regular updates on progress, risks, and issues.
- ** Facilitate Risk & Issue Management**: Identify, assess, and escalate risks and issues proactively, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on program delivery.
- ** Lead Resource Coordination**: Support resource planning and allocation across workstreams, ensuring optimal utilization and addressing capacity constraints.
- ** Manage Financials**: Assist in budgeting, financial tracking, and reporting to ensure the program remains within scope and budget.
- ** Lead Reporting & Documentation**: Prepare and present comprehensive status reports, dashboards, and documentation for senior leadership and governance bodies.
- ** Provide Quality Assurance**: Monitor quality standards and ensure deliverables meet organizational and stakeholder expectations.
- ** Identify Continuous Improvement**: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the PMO and program delivery practices.

**What you need to have**:

- 10 years’ experience working within a project management discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in program or project coordination, preferably within a consulting or corporate environment
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PMBOK, PRINCE) is a plus.
- Proven experience in a PMO role within large, complex or multi year programs including demonstrated leadership in driving program success through effective coordination and governance.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project needs.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Expert in MS Office Suite and collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePoint
- Proven experience in producing high quality project communications and presentations
