**About the role**

We are seeking a technically competent Hose Technician to join our Perth team. The Hose Technician is responsible for a high level of technical support, manufacturing, repair, inspections, testing, document compliance, commission, and troubleshooting of a wide variety of Hydraulic hoses, utility hoses, and specialist hoses, components, and systems in a safe, efficient and effective manner.

This position will suit applicants that have a high level of experience in customer service, compliance, relevant standards, and a large variety of hose and fittings types, including various materials. You will need to be flexible and able to work autonomously and as part of a growing team.

**Your duties & responsibilities**
- Perform service, fault finding, and repair on an extensive range of hoses and fittings components and systems for both our oil and gas and mining clients
- Work closely with customers to provide a solutions-driven response
- Able to easily identify hose and fittings and the relevant performance characteristics.
- Manufacture hose and fittings in accordance with specifications outlined by the project engineers and individual product manufactures
- A good understanding of hydrostatic pressure testing, ideally with NATA.
- Able to interpret hose and fittings standards.
- Is able to solve customer assembly questions with safety in mind.
- Attention to detail is crucial
- Produce detailed and accurate reporting on all tasks carried out in the workshop.

**Skills, qualifications, and experience**
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with hydraulic, industrial, and specialist hoses
- Technical competence in hose & fitting is essential
- Experience with hose management systems
- Experience with both manufacturer and service provider will be well regarded
- Sound knowledge of hydraulic fault finding, servicing/repair, and testing/commissioning procedures
- NATA experience (preferable)
- Experience in the oil and gas industry will be well regarded.
- Able to manage multiple work demands and work within tight deadlines
- Proven communication skills (written & verbally), both internally (PD employees) and externally (Clients, 3rd party subcontractors)
- Strong team player, with a flexible and positive attitude
- Basic PC skills (MS word, excel)
- Have a current driver's license
