The Finance Officer will support and contribute to the development, maintenance and reporting of accurate and timely forecasts and budgets. The role will assist in maintaining the Authority's financial policies, structure, budget and capital management systems, supported by operating guidance and governance processes. It will also assist with the maintenance of the Authority's out year budgets and funding allocations in the relevant financial systems.

Accountabilities
- Manage transactions using authority's capital management systems and departmental financial systems that supports delivery of best-practice financial management and services and identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain the authority's capital management system based on ERC decisions, budget papers and department ledger.
- Maintain budgets and forecasts in the relevant systems, including ensuring the required updates are processed in line with timelines and end of month requirements.
- Liaise with internal/external stakeholders to verify and/or seek additional details in relation to documentation submitted for processing.
- Assist in reconciliation and analysis of funding streams as required.
- Undertake a range of administrative and financial functions to support the operation of the work unit as required and participate in the development and implementation of new policies, processes and systems.
